The students, staff and faculty of Columbia Elementary School honored Veterans during their annual event Thursday morning. 

The students sang patriotic songs and gave tribute to every branch of the military as veterans were asked to stand up.

The school produced a video slideshow presentation showing pictures of military service members who were connected to the school through students and teachers.

All the veterans were asked to come up to the stage to receive a token of appreciation by the school. The event was concluded by the song, Proud to be an American, sung by the entire assembly to the service members, who received a standing ovation at the end.
