City of Bakersfield mobile App adds new features

The city of Bakersfield announced that they have added new features to their app 'Bakersfield Mobile.

The app will now allow users to report several different code enforcement-related items that will go right to City staff.

 Users will be able to report common types of code enforcement issues such as overgrown lawn or weeds, junk, trash and/or debris in a yard, abandoned furniture, algae in swimming pools and vehicles parked on a lawn.

These new features are in being added to existing issues that can be reported.

Those include damaged parks equipment, illegal dumping, graffiti, street light issues, traffic signals issues and potholes. Issues can be reported through photos, video, audio or e-mail messages.

The application is free to download for both Apple and Android devices by simply searching for "Bakersfield Mobile" in the app store.
