ARVIN, Calif. — The Arvin City Council voted 4 to 1 Tuesday on an ordinance to require businesses display signs asking the public to wear masks.
This new ordinance coming just weeks after the city voted to require employees to cover their faces at work. Now businesses must post signs asking customers to wear something over their faces when they shop.
Although the ordinance does not require customers to wears masks inside businesses, officials hope this will help to curb COVID cases in the city.
