An employee with Tehachapi Prison was "involved" in some capacity in a homicide on Valleyview Drive on Sunday, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed Tuesday.

On Sunday, 31-year-old Edwin Lima was shot and killed at a home on Valleyview Drive just off Fairfax. Lima had worked at Tehachapi Prison since 2007.

CDCR officials say Rigoberto Sanchez was involved. He has worked for Tehachapi Prison since 2002.

CDCR could not confirm Sanchez's involvement. Bakersfield Police have not said whether or not he is a suspect.

No arrests have been made. No suspect information has been provided.

CDCR says there was a third person involved, they described as a "victim," but would not elaborate. That person also works for Tehachapi Prison.
