Many students will be heading back to class on Wednesday morning, but some people will actually be graduating later today.
CASA of Kern County is holding its graduation Wednesday night. Fifteen new advocates will be honored as part of the 82nd class to take the oath.
According to CASA, the new advocates have proven to be invaluable to the casa mission of being a voice for abused and neglected children in Kern County.
"The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Kern County speaks for abused and neglected children in the juvenile dependency process. Through the use of highly trained volunteers, the CASA program seeks to provide every child who needs an advocate with a voice in the court process."
The graduation is happening at 6:30 p.m. at the Kern County Superintendent of Schools on 17th Street.
