The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating what it's calling a suspicious death after a body was found in a riverbed Wednesday.

According to BPD, officers were called to the riverbed near Riverview Park off Chester Avenue at about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

BPD said they found a man's body in the riverbed. His death is considered suspicious.
