Boil advisory in effect for some Bakersfield residents

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The California Water Service and the State Water Resources Control Board's Division of Drinking Water have issued a precautionary boil advisory for select Bakersfield residents.

Until further notice, the following addresses listed below are urged to only use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking, preparing food and brushing teeth.

  • 301, 303, 305, 307, 313, 317, 321, 323, 327, 329 E Street
  • 308, 310, 314, 316, 318, 320, 324, 328, 330 Oleander

Officials say if you prefer to use bottled water during this advisory, you may save your receipts for full reimbursement. Residents can bring your receipts to the customer center located at 3725 South H Street in South Bakersfield.

Crews are currently making repairs to the mains and conducting water quality testing to determine whether water quality was impacted by the incident.
