UPDATE (12/10): BPD's investigation has led to the arrest of 19-year-old Guillermo Enrique Soto. Soto was identified as the suspect in Saturday's shooting and was booked into the Kern County Jail for murder, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting in east Bakersfield.
Around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to reports of a shooting near Heritage Park.
Officials set up at crime scene at the corner of Bernard St. and Camino Real on the northwest corner of the park.
Officials confirmed said they were investigating a shooting and initially said an adult man was suffering from moderate to major injuries. Officials also confirmed that a woman had gunshot wounds, but suffered minor injuries.

Officers confirmed more than an hour later that the male subject had died.
The suspects are described as a Hispanic male adult wearing dark long sleeves and dark pants, and a Hispanic female adult wearing a dark shirt and dark shorts.
