The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for two suspects responsible for two robberies within two hours and may be connected to a third robbery.

Officials said around 8 p.m. officers were called to AMPM on Monterey Street near Beale Avenue for reports of a robbery. They determined two black men both armed with handguns robbed the store.

Then, just after 9 p.m., officers were called to the 7-Eleven on W. Columbus Ave. near San Dimas St. for reports of a robbery. Officials determined that robbery was likely connected to the first robbery because the suspect descriptions matched at both locations.

Investigators said they are now investigating a third robbery that happened just before 10 p.m. at the Gasko Foodmart. Officials said two black men armed with handguns entered the store and robbed it. Officials said it appeared one of the clerks was pistol whipped. 23ABC was on scene as the clerk was being treated by the fire department for injuries. Officials said they have been able to confirm the suspects are the same from the first two incidents, but their investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about any of the incidents are asked to call BPD at 327-7111.
