Bakersfield police are investigating several incidents where women have been assaulted after being rear ended by a black Mercedes.

Last week, a woman was attacked and robbed in the parking lot of a Carl's Jr. in South Bakersfield after being rear ended.

The Bakersfield Police Department said the suspect in that incident was described as a black male in his twenties, 5'10", 220 pounds and wearing a black button up and red shorts, forced the victim to the ground and violently assaulted her. The other suspect, described only as a black male, exited the Mercedes and removed items from the victim's vehicle.

Bakersfield police have confirmed that there have been two other incidents similar to this one and that two of the three appear to be related. They have not released any further information about the other attacks due to their ongoing investigation.
