BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield is ranked as the city with the worst short-term particle pollution and ranks number two in year-round particle pollution.

According to the American Lung Association, "Each is dangerous to public health and each can be lethal.”

California is continuously being challenged by climate change and fighting wildfires, leaving an uphill battle in the fight to cleaner air.

The American Lung Association suggests driving less, using less electricity and not burning wood or trash can help stop pollution.
