A garage fire in Central Bakersfield sent a thick blanket of smoke into the air early Wednesday morning.
The fire started at approximately 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of 17th Street and V Street. Bakersfield City firefighters found smoke pouring from a detached garage upon their arrival.
It took about 20 minutes for crews to knock down the flames.
There are no reports of any injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
