BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The City Council is expected to refresh the council goals for the upcoming year.
Staff is recommending a new approach for the new year suggesting a plan that is guided by eight overarching goals. Some of the goals include addressing homelessness by increasing shelter capacity and counseling.
They're also looking to create quality public safety services by improving police and fire response times.
The council is expected to talk about the new goals at Wednesday night's meeting which starts at 5:15 p.m. at 1501 Truxtun Avenue.
