Bakersfield City Council recruiting for Youth Commission

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — If you're a Bakersfield resident, currently in high school with a 3.0 grade point average or higher-- the city council is looking for you!

The city is recruiting young people to serve on the Bakersfield Youth Commission.

The Youth Commission works to identify the concerns and needs of local youth, including matters related to recreational opportunities, park amenities, student safety, and volunteer opportunities with the city.

If interested, you can grab an application at the City Clerk's Office, City Hall, 1600 Truxtun Avenue, or online.

Applications will be accepted until an adequate number have been received to fill the positions.
