BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Thursday morning, crews from the Kern County Fire Department battled a vegetation fire in Tehachapi.
The fire began just before 10 a.m. near Banducci and Arosa roads just east of the Brite Valley Aquatic Recreation Area. The fire grew to about 6 acres before crews got control of the blaze with help from a KCFD helicopter.
