BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Poker players here's your chance to play Texas Hold'em to help local cancer patients. Saturday it the 15th Annual Josh Farler Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament.

Saturday's tournament is being held at the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Hall at 6718 Meany Avenue, Bakersfield. Registration starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 12 p.m. Buy-in day of the tournament is $80 dollar with a $20 buy back-in.

The proceeds from the tournament will help local patients and families battling cancer. The tournament started to help Josh Farler and his family with his treatment. Farler was twenty years old when he lost his battle to testicular cancer. His cousin and president of the Josh Farler Foundation, Mike Nipper, said Farler's condition was preventable if he had better coverage and more access to care.

Other than poker there will be three rounds of Bingo, a silent auction and a beer garden. The event is free to attend for anyone 18 years and older. A BBQ dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
