Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley earns state license, plans to open next week

Posted

State inspectors have granted Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley its license to operate, the final regulatory hurdle before opening the hospital.

The Medical Center will begin accepting patients next week.

“This moment not only represents a major feat for our community members and associates who have worked so hard to get this hospital open, but also the start of a monumental shift for health care in Tehachapi,” Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley President Jeff Lingerfelt said. “This new, state-of-theart hospital will allow our team of caregivers to provide compassionate, quality care for our friends and neighbors close to home. Our community deserves nothing less.”

The hospital replaces the current facility that is located in downtown Tehachapi and was constructed in 1954.
