A chocolate showcase, model train event and a "junk" show are all happening this weekend

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Here's a look at three events happening around Kern County this weekend!

Tonight United Way of Kern County is hosting "A Chocolate Affair" fundraiser. The event supports education programs at United Way, and students from College Heights Elementary School in the "Boys with a Purpose, Gentleman's Club." The fundraiser is a black tie event and starts at 6 p.m. at Westchester Hall.

The annual model train show and sale will take place this Saturday and Sunday at the Kern County Fairgrounds. The event will start at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and admission is $8 dollars for each person and kids under 12-years-old get in free.The show will include dozens of dealer tables and operating model train displays.

The Rusty Roots show will be rolling into town on Sunday. The traveling "junk" show brings treasures new and old to CSUB. At the event you can find anything from antique to vintage, junk to re-purposed and more. The event will begin at 9a.m. and run until 3 p.m.. Admission is five dollars and children 15 and under are free.
