86 Kern County residents were improperly registered to vote by the DMV according to the Chief Deputy Registrar of Voters for Kern County, Karen Rhea.
64 of those were improperly registered in September and 22 of those came on Monday.
On Tuesday, October 9, it was announced that about 1,500 people may have been incorrectly registered due to a processing error. That includes legal residents who are not citizens.
According to Rhea, the registrations were canceled and those who were improperly registered will have to go through the proper process to register.
