BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — There are new details in a suspected DUI crash from Monday night. California Highway Patrol said the head-on crash left 7 people injured, including three children.
According to CHP, Eduardo Blanco was driving eastbound on DiGiorgio Road near Cottonwood Road and crossed over the yellow center divider, crashing into a Dodge Charger carrying five people. Everyone was transported to Kern Medical and Memorial Hospital to be treated for their injuries, which ranged from minor to major. Two of the children were transported by helicopter to Madera's Valley Children's Hospital.
Blanco was arrested for driving under the influence and causing injury.
