BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — It was pomp and circumstance tonight, marking the 105th commencement for Bakersfield College, with the school saying this year could be the largest graduating class with more 2,000 students eligible to walk.
And with the large class came an even bigger crowd looking to cheer on their loved ones, but many were left waiting outside as Rabobank Arena reached capacity.
Commencement was held at Rabobank Arena instead of the school’s typical on-campus location at Memorial Stadium. The arena seats 10,000.
