Aircraft from the 144th Fighter Wing in Fresno will road over the city of Bakersfield in a show of support for nurses and other professionals working to help fight the coronavirus.
The formation took off at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning and headed north on a counter-clockwise trip around northern and central California, flying over Bakersfield at around 11:48.
Other groups have done similar events. California Aeronautical University (CAU) conducted a flyover in Bakersfield on April 30th. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds performed a 30-minute flyover, crisscrossing the Las Vegas valley on a path that took them above 16 area hospitals. The Blue Angels and Thunderbirds flew New York City; Newark, New Jersey; Trenton, New Jersey and Philadelphia as well.
