(KERO) — The Kern County Sheriff's Department is currently hiring for several open positions.
According to KCSO, the department is hiring for deputy sheriff trainees, sheriff support technicians, deputy sheriff laterals, detention deputies and deputy coroners.

On Friday, KCSO Human Resources Specialist Jasmin Calderon joined 23ABC Live to discuss the hiring process.
Applicants must be 19-years or older, have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and must possess a California Class "C" drivers license.
