BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — If you are looking for a job opportunity where you will be working with a locally sourced, locally owned restaurant we have the job opportunity for you because locale farm to table is hiring for all their positions. 23ABC's Daniela Garrido has the details for those looking to apply.

Like many restaurants, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Locale Farm to Table has had to adapt, opening up three patio areas around their corner location in Downtown Bakersfield.

"We're a farm to table restaurant downtown across the street from the post office and the Padre," said owner Heather Laganelli. "We're looking for people in the back of the house and in front of the house. Back of the house is line cooks, short-order cook, prep cook and front of the house, we just transitioned to full service so we're looking for servers, bussing, and hosting."

During the pandemic, the restaurant was operating on a limited menu while they adapted but now they are ready to go back to a full-service menu and need extra help when it comes to servers and hosts.

"We need people who are super personable, enjoy food, and want to be part of something unique in our community," added Laganelli.

For those interested in working in the kitchen, previous experience in the service industry is recommended.

"Task-oriented, operate under time constraint, efficient, timely, responsible, and have experience in a kitchen," Laganelli described.

This job is a good opportunity for someone looking for a day time position in the service industry since the restaurant isn't open for dinner.

"A lot of people in this industry are used to working nights and weekends and we are only looking for people to work Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.," said Laganelli.

To apply, you can visit their website or contact them directly through their social media accounts.
