Starting Tuesday California State University Bakersfield is helping its students during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.
The annual program gives free food and shelter to students who are facing difficult situations while going to school. The chancellor's office will host a panel at noon to discuss the services available to students who are homeless or facing food insecurities.
If you or someone you know needs food there'll be a free distribution event Tuesday at the Icardo Center at 10 a.m.
