DELANO, Calif. — The Delano Police Department announced Thursday afternoon that they will be limiting in-person responses to life-threatening or emergency calls only. This will take effect through April 1.

According to a release, all non-life-threatening emergencies will be handled over the phone. The front lobby of police headquarters will be off-limits to the public. Residents are encouraged to call the non-emergency number (661) 721-3377.

DPD is also postponing all police-related community events this month.
