BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Adventist Health Bakersfield announced Monday that as of Noon, it will begin screening all employees, physicians and visitors for the flu on a daily basis.

The screenings will happen everyday between the hours of 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The screening process consists of taking temperature as they enter the building.

Anyone with a fever of 100.3 or higher will be asked not to visit or work that day.

Adventist Health said they are starting this screening process because of the current widespread cases of flu statewide and locally and because of the ongoing concerns over coronavirus. Adventist Health said this is strictly a precaution for the health and safety of their patients, employees and doctors.

Screenings will take place in front of the main hospital as well as the employee/physician entrance,
