According to research, the Moderna vaccine proves to protect young people from COVID-19

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Moderna says its COVID-19 vaccine is slightly more effective in teens, than it is in adults.

Researchers found the vaccine is 96% effective in young people, between 12 and 17 years old. The vaccine is 94% effective in adults.

Meanwhile, the Pfizer vaccine is expected to receive federal authorization to be used on adolescents next week.
