BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Accelerated Urgent Care announced it will soon begin providing coronavirus testing inside a 10,000 square-foot center, located on Coffee Road in Southwest Bakersfield.
Officials said they met with all the major hospitals in Bakersfield and agreed there was a need for a centralized COVID-19 testing center.
During a press conference Friday afternoon, officials said hope to begin at the location next week, however it is dependent on the facility being completely prepared.
The testing is being done at the location to keep potentially infected patients out of hospitals.
Accelerated Urgent Care said it will provide a private entrance and the testing area will be separate from its ordinary urgent care facility.
Accelerated Urgent Care wants to point out that no testing will be provided at any of other accelerated locations.
