Governor Gavin Newsom spoke to the 23ABC affiliate in San Francisco about the election. He said that his biggest worry is that the election results will be drawn out.
"My biggest concern is the ambiguity of an outcome extending the election day into election days, weeks. I'm worried about false statements, misleading, manipulative, assaults on the process, counting ballots, and making sure that everybody is being respected in that process and every vote is being tallied."
According to the California Secretary of State, the elections office has until December 3rd to process all the ballots received. The election results in California will be finalized no later than December 11th.
