BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — In the race for State Assembly, a set of incumbents took carried the lead in the 32nd and 34th districts.
Incumbent Rudy Salas (D) took the lead for the 32nd District, with 62,283 votes against challenger Todd Cotta's 27,324 votes tallied so far. According to the Secretary of State's Office, in Kern, Salas received about 72% of the vote and 56% district-wide.
For the 34th District, incumbent Vince Fong (R) took a lead with 66,676 votes tallied, compared to challenger Julie Solis's 37,308 votes.
