BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Two people are behind bars and a suspect is still on the loose after a traffic stop turned into a pursuit near Pomona and Columbus Streets in east Bakersfield.
Just after 7 p.m., the Kern County Sheriff's Office attempted a traffic stop at Haley and Columbus because they had an arrest warrant for a homicide suspect that was in the suspect's vehicle.
That vehicle did not stop and there was a chase that lasted three blocks.
During the chase, the suspect hit two other cars, no one was injured.
Two people are in custody including the homicide suspect.
KCSO is still looking for another suspect who is described as a Hispanic man, in his 30s in a flannel shirt, he is considered to be armed and dangerous.
