Offender walks away from Bakersfield Reentry Program

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation officials are looking for Elizabeth Sarmiento, 23, who walked away from the Custody to Community Transitional Reentry Program facility in Bakersfield on Wednesday.

Around 9:15 p.m. CCTRP staff were notified that Sarmiento left the facility without authorization and an emergency search was conducted.

Notification was made to local law enforcement agencies.

Sarmiento is described as a Hispanic woman, is 5'4'' and weighs 140 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair.

Anyone who sees Sarmiento or has any knowledge of her whereabouts should immediately contact law enforcement or call 911.
