DELANO, Calif. (KERO) — The Delano Police Department is investigating its first homicide of the year after a man was shot and killed in a cemetery Friday.
According to DPD, the victim was at the North Kern Cemetery District around 5:30 p.m. when an unknown suspect fired a handgun in his direction. The victim was struck and died.
The suspect fled the scene.
DPD is investigating and asking the community for any tips. Anyone with information can call DPD at (661) 721-3369 and remain anonymous.
