Community helps Bakersfield police find suspects wanted in a business burglary

UPDATE: According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the two suspects wanted in connection to a burglary in the 2000 block of Oak Street have been arrested. The BPD identified the suspects as 39-year-old Benjamin Martinez and 25-yearl-old Alex Fallias.

"Both suspects were located and arrested at a motel in the 2600 block of Buck Owens Boulevard, in the early morning hours of February 28, 2020. Martinez was found to have four outstanding felony arrest warrants; three of which were also for burglary. Martinez and Fallias were arrested for burglary and conspiracy and were transported and booked into the Kern County jail."

The BPD expressed their thanks to the public for helping identify the suspects.


The Bakersfield Police Department is asking the public's help in identifying suspects in a business burglary.

According to the BPD, the burglary happened on January 19, 2020, at a business complex located at 2000 Oak Street. The suspects were caught on video surveillance entering a business and items.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 30’s with a medium build and beard. He was last seen wearing a black Adidas baseball cap with white logo, grey shirt, a dark-colored jacket, and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as a white or Hispanic female in her 20’s with a slim build and light brown hair. She was wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans, red shoes, beige scarf, and sunglasses.
