BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Kern County Public Health said that at noon today, the state said it will send a reminder of the regional stay-at-home order to residents' cell phones in the San Joaquin Valley.
Public Health said residents should not be concerned when they receive the alert as it is just a reminder and not a new order.
The alert with say the following:
“New public health stay at home order in your area. COVID-19 is spreading rapidly. Stay home except for essential activity. Wear a mask. Keep your distance. Visit covid19.ca.gov”
State officials stated the message is informational only, intended to encourage staying at home to curb the spread of COVID-19, and does not warrant a call to law enforcement or 911.
