Staff and volunteers for the Panama Buena Vista Union School District spending some time Tuesday morning preparing meals to give to students. Officials say the support for the schools and students has been incredible.
"Throughout all this coronavirus, it's so heartwarming to see how all the people have come together. Our principals, our teachers, we have volunteers, our staff is so dedicated in making sure that our children are being taken care of. It's just so heartwarming to see that," said Marilou Onaindia of the Panama Buena Vista Union School District.
The staff and volunteers were at Miller Elementary Tuesday preparing about 800 breakfasts and lunches for local students. The district added that they have served more than 140,000 meals to students to help out the community during this time.
Officials also said it has been possible through the selflessness of the staff and volunteers.
