Despite Kern County's recent move back into the purple tier, Maggie's Sunrise Cafe announced on Instagram that they would continue to serve indoors at both locations.

In a post, the popular restaurant said that they will continue to follow all the sanitation recommendations and wear masks, but that they would not move to outdoor only.

On Monday, Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the state was pulling an "emergency brake" on reopening, meaning that Kern County was slipping back to the purple tier. As a result, gyms, restaurants, churches, and other sectors would have to suspend indoor services once again.

The state has also changed the grace-period given to businesses to comply. Instead of three days of restricting certain business operations that is now 24 hours, according to Kern County Public Health Director Matt Constantine.
