Lowe's has confirmed to 23ABC that two employees at a Bakersfield location have tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, Sebastian Hale of Lowe's Corporate Communications, said: "The well-being of our associates and customers is Lowe’s priority, and we have confirmed two COVID-19 cases of Lowe’s associates at our Bakersfield store, located at 7825 Rosedale Hwy. The associates have been quarantined and are receiving care. These associates last worked on April 5 and March 28 respectively."
Hale said the store remains open, but was "extensively cleaned" as per CDC guidelines.
"In an abundance of caution, associates who had worked closely with these individuals over a period of time have been put on a paid leave," added Hale.
