LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, announced Wednesday that the city will begin to require residents wear face coverings when outdoors.
The new order will exempt small children and those with disabilities, and significantly tightens restrictions already in place. Local guidelines already required masks in businesses and on public transportation.
"Bring you mask with whenever you leave your home," Garcetti said. "That will help us get more freedoms."
