BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Effective April 2, Kern High School District will discontinue meal services at Centennial High School.
Additionally, Centennial High School is closed for two days to undergo deep cleaning. The campus will reopen April 6.
When we reached out to KHSD they issued the following statement:
"As per guidance from the Kern County Public Health Department regarding the privacy of medical information, the Kern High School District cannot confirm or deny that any member of our district community has tested positive for COVID-19. Media inquiries regarding COVID-19 should be directed to the Kern County Public Health Department. KHSD has been practicing social distancing standards and is doing our part to encourage everyone to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community."
Breakfast and lunch grab and go meals will still be provided to children ages 2 to 18 years old, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. this week.
During Spring Break, meal services will be provided April 6-9.
There are no meal services on April 10 or 13.
