Kern County Latino COVID-19 Task Force announces additional coronavirus testing sites

The Kern County Latino COVID-19 Task Force has announced another batch of COVID-19 testing sites across Kern County.

“This is a critical time for our County,” said Jay Tamsi, co-founder of the Kern County Latino COVID-19 Task Force. “We need to ensure that our community stays safe and we work towards restoring our economy especially through this pandemic. Through testing and tracing we are able to slow the transmission rate having people self-isolate properly to slow the spread of the virus locally."

This week's testing sites are as follows:

  • Thursday at the Robert F. Kennedy High School in Delano. Free flu shots and cloth face masks will be given to individuals. The clinic will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday from 7 a.m. to 5p.m. at Taft Union High School. Dignity Health will also be providing a limited number of Flu shots.
  • Saturday at the McFarland Community Center. The clinic begins at 11 a.m. Free face masks will also be provided.
  • Sunday at 915 Paso Drive in Wasco. The clinic begins at 10 a.m. Face masks will be provided.
