BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Thursday Gov. Newsom announced a statewide shelter-in-place order, restricting non-essential services to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Sixteen emergency sectors where identified as being exempt including the Homeland Security Sectors which include the education subsector.
Due to this exemption, Kern County School District will continue to offer their "Grab N Go" meal service until further notice.
