Kern County has seen another 1,000+ cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours according to the Kern County Public Health Department, bringing the total number of cases to 13,370.

In the breakdown on the county's dashboard, with the increase in tests, there has been an increase in the number of unknowns when it comes to race. More than 46% of positive tests are listed as "unknown" ethnicity.

The county also reporting 8 new deaths bringing that number to 123 attributed to the virus.

Health officials reported nearly 5,200 people have fully recovered with nearly 7,900 isolating from home. There have been almost 97-thousand-800 negative tests or more than 85 percent.

The most cases are in the 18-to-49 age group. That accounts for 8,371 of the total cases in Kern County.
