BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office confirmed that several deputies have tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to KCSO, they could not confirm at this time whether the deputies where detention deputies or patrol deputies.

KCSO said it is up to public health to determine if any other employees would need to isolate.

KCSO said its deputies are outfitted with N95 masks and they're following guidelines from health officials.
