Kaiser Permanente, The Hens Roost to start Kern’s first virtual farmer’s market

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Friday Kaiser Permanente and The Hens Roost announced Kern County’s First Virtual Farmer’s Market will be open March 28 and was created in response to COVID 19.

The Farmer's Markets at both Kaiser Permanente locations will be closed.

To participate follow the following steps:
1: Go online here.
2: Choose a membership type Step
3: Do your shopping from the comfort of your home.

All memberships are free for 3 months until may until May 1.

For most residents: choose Farmers Market Pick Up Membership and enter the Code COVID12weeksfree to receive 3 months free.

For residents 65 and older or those who are self-isolating due to underlaying health conditions: choose Farmers Market Delivery Membership and enter the Code 65PlusCovidFreeDelivery to receive 3 months free.

The website will open Saturday with a core group of vendors and the first pick up/delivery date available will be the following Saturday, April 4.
