BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Hall Ambulance began offering the COVID-19 vaccine to its emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and registered nurses who have direct contact with patients.

The vaccine has also been made available to those involved in the decontamination of ambulances following a COVID-19 patient's transport. The vaccine is part of the state of California's initial Moderna vaccine allotment.

Kern County Public Health partnered with Auburn Pharmacy to administer the vaccine to Hall Ambulance's first responders.
