Gov. Newsom: Securing 4,613 beds for patients

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Gov. Newsom announced today that he is working on securing 4,613 beds across various sites for COVID-19 patients.

He says not only is he working on beds and protective gear, he is working to increase the amount of personnel to match this surge.

As of today, 80,000-plus applications have been submitted for the healthcare industry in essential positions.
