BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Golden Empire Transit announced that after the Centers for Disease Control issued a mandate requiring all persons riding public transportation wear a face mask, GET drivers will decline to board anyone not wearing a mask.
The CDC mandate required anyone wishing to ride public transportation or be at the terminal wears masks that completely covers the mouth and nose. Riders must wear a mask the entire period of travel.
If a passenger refuses to comply, the bus operator can disembark the person at the earliest safe opportunity.
