DELANO, Calif. — The Delano Union School District is offering childcare and other services at certain school locations during the coronavirus closures.
According to the district, it is offering childcare services for parents who cannot otherwise secure supervision at Harvest Elementary. The services run from 8 a.m. to 2:07 p.m.
The district issued the following statement:
We have been very fortunate to have a team of district employees from administration, certificated, and classified staff who have volunteered to selflessly give of their time to ensure the health, safety, and emotional needs of our students.
We are complying with CDC recommendations to the greatest extent possible, and our Director of Health Services is monitoring staff and student temperatures daily.
Due to the generosity of Dr. Varanasi, we have been able to provide our families and district employees with much needed commodities during this challenging time.
